The floor house _ Metaconcrete & Kwon byoung woo

The floor house adopted a motif from the main floored room (Dae-Chong-maru) of Korean tr
-aditional house. Industrialization advanced forward and apartment culture is well established.
So called "Dae Chong Maru" only was considered as a good potential space leading to new
prospect of the modern housing culture.

By introducing part of ‘Dae Cheong Maru’ into the space, there comes up with a new mode of
living amid the fusion of standing and sitting style of livings.
A strong point of sitting style space is found in larger flexible space. A fact that there are
variable spaces allowing wider and feasible spaces tells us that such good spaces would
accommodate adequate designs.

We need an effort to close the gap among the people.
The people feel more alienation in the specialized society and they are shut up in
themselves by trying to find their identity. Finally they can find other one who can
understand them. The human can be defind by relation among the people.

A small rest for people who live in a fierce city, ther is the bench which can be shared with others.
but they can’t be cared, because of unconcern among the people.
they come to bench to have a rest and treat thier hurt mind on the street, how can i make the bench
to help them with design?

To close the gap
For the people who feel strange about closing one another, there is a bench that can make them be close
and recognize other’s existence.
When i feel tired, if i meet somebody who encouraging me. That person is sharing a bench with me.
